Every evening, weather permitting.  Day trips on request.

scenes around kampot cambodia

Starting between the New Bridge and Railroad Bridge. Boats are also picking up passengers on the River, downtown, next to the Old Bridge. (good to know your bridges here)

About 10 boats, (the other 10 are just docked and serve as real Riverside restaurants).

Leaving at 5:30pm  or 6pm, but really, always leave late.

For a 2 hour tour (1.5 hours?)

The price for you is $5, including 1 beer or soda, but you can pay just $2.50 without the drinks if you point to the sign and argue.  (Locals they only charge $2.50 with no drinks.) Beers on the boats are $1.

Food and drinks served on the boat.

Usually going upriver, under the train bridge, and stopping for 10 minutes by some trees to watch fireflies (lightning bugs), and then turning around and coming back in the dark. Some boats can make it downtown, if the tides are low.

You’ll probably have some loud Khmer techno music on the ride back. Ask before you buy your ticket, if you don’t like loud techno music.

You can sit on the roof, or a covered downstairs.

No chairs on the roof, as you have to crouch down to go under a couple bridges, if going downtown…

If you have a group, just rent the whole boat.

Also, a library boat with hammocks and tents for rent. AHHA Floatel.

You can also rent a boat here to go fishing in the Kampot River, or take you to the ocean for fishing, or just tour around.

Now, at nighttime, downtown Kampot is all lit up, and very nice to see from the River.

Great new boat down by the Kampot International Port.
The Bay Boat

Afternoon and evening tours, some to the ocean, and in the evening, you get to see the Magic Seahorse and Water Show downtown.
$4 to $4.5, including a drink.
